It would be great to have GE PYE22PYNFS offered Precise fill the option that is available in a handful of GE refrigerators that allows users to select how many cups they want to pour out. The fridge displays a countdown to reveal how much water remains however it's not as effective as Precise Fill. This refrigerator is a great option for households with a single member or kitchenettes looking for an integrated look and top of the line food preservation. The fridge was rated the best refrigerator in our Refrigerators Test for a few reasons. The freezer temperatures remained steady at a level that was just above 0 degrees Fahrenheit and never fluctuating more than a fraction an inch. This is essential to avoiding freezing burn. The freezer also has clever design features, such as sliding drawers that help you sort your things. It also has a huge bin that can hold plenty of frozen food and an storage bin for ice. Smart InstaView panel is another cool feature of the refrigerator. It allows you to manage the refrigerator's temperature, lighting, and more using your smartphone. It's a great way to monitor and manage your refrigerator, especially if you're away from home. Although the Smart InstaView is a neat feature, it does not necessarily improve the overall performance of the refrigerator. The fridge took a bit longer to chill food and defrost it than some others we tested. This could be due to the bigger capacity. The other issue we have with this refrigerator is its doors. The sunken handles allow smaller people to open them from the bottom. However taller people struggle to close them without slamming them. It would have been much better if they came with a front-mounted handles. The LG Counter-Depth MAX is a good choice for those who want to combine the advantages of a French-door refrigerator's aesthetics with an efficient layout. It has a capacity that is superior to counter-depth models and also cools evenly. It's also a little less than the most expensive counter depth refrigerators that have an ice maker, making it a desirable option. Frigidaire Counter Depth French Door Refrigerator This Frigidaire French door refrigerator is a good option if you want a French-door fridge that doesn't break the budget. It has a simple design that's not as striking in appearance as some of the competition however it comes with enough features to make it a good option. Its most notable characteristic is the adjustable temperature drawer, which helps keep foods like meat and vegetables fresher for longer. It also has a large water dispenser as well as a good ice maker that operates quickly. Another feature that is worth mentioning is the “Chill Drawer” that sits over the two crisper bins. This drawer lets you redirect some of the refrigerator's cooling power directly into this area, which means you can keep food items that require special attention. This feature can be adjusted by using an outside slider that is located inside the drawer. You can also use this feature to adjust the general cooling settings for the whole fridge, though I've found that adjusting the generic settings tends to have a better effect than specific ones. During my tests, the temperatures of the refrigerator were fairly consistent across all areas of the fridge. The temperatures in the top, bottom and middle of the refrigerator didn't vary much from 38 degrees. This is a great performance, but it doesn't quite make it into the top ten in our rankings. This fridge has a few other neat features, including a temperature-monitoring display that alerts you to fluctuations and provides a forecast for the day ahead.
